Our House of Prayers (or HoPEs) are essential to our charism and spirituality - sharing the Good News with the lonely, the broken, the weary, and those far from the community of faith, in a Spirit-filled and welcoming way.
In our founding prophecy, the Lord tells us that “everyone I send to you is wanted and desired by me”. Our Houses of Prayer are places of acceptance. When you attend a House of Prayer, you’ll be guaranteed of a welcome at the door, a listening ear and space to allow God to speak in to your situation through praying with His Word.
Prophecy of Camparmò
Our HoPEs are facilitated by our members who, like you, once needed or desired a more intimate encounter with Jesus and want to share this experience with others.
We form our members to share the Good News in their own homes. While there is always space for flexibility when circumstances need it, each gathering of the HoPE will include a time of prayer through song, exploring God’s Word through the Psalms and Gospel, a response to the challenge in the Gospel, and time to pray for your needs and intentions.
A crucial part of these weekly gatherings is a cuppa and time to grow in friendship, with plenty of laughter! The whole gathering (with cuppa) lasts about 1 1/2 hours.
HoPEs are held in the home of our lay members. At the moment we have Houses of Prayer in Belfast, Ballymena, the Glens of Antrim, Bangor, Downpatrick, Cavan, Dublin and Cork.
If you are interested in coming along to one, please do reach out. We have members preparing to open HoPEs elsewhere too, so please don’t let distance be a barrier to reach out.
