Koinonia Days

Koinonia Days are like our gym, to grow and develop in our KeKaKo spirituality.

Like every local Koinonia worldwide, we organise these monthly gatherings, with the aim of creating and intensifying the communion between members and our drive for evangelisation.

These community days take place (usually) on the last Sunday of each month at our Oasis (our community’s home) at the Braid. While these are usually designed for covenant members a number of Koinonia Days are open to participants in our houses of prayer, friends of the community and family members of our young people.

Each day emphasises our identity as a community (koinonia) under the guidance of the Holy Spirit (karisma) sent to proclaim the Good News of Jesus following the example of John the Baptist (kerygma). It is a day of retreat and fellowship but with the purpose to fire us up to return home ready for mission.

We pray together, we listen and respond to teachings on Scripture and Biblical themes, we eat together, and we participate in Mass together, celebrated by priest friends from across the diocese.

If you’d like more information, or to ‘come and see’ our community please reach out. We will happily connect you with members local to you and let you know when our next open Koinonia Day is.
