Three Consecrated Sisters share their stories

In 2001, Siloam, an evangelisation team based in the Diocese of Down and Connor officially became an integral part of the Federation of Koinonia John the Baptist. Since then, young (and not so young!) men and women have heard the Lord’s call to virginity for the Kingdom of Heaven. They’ve left our shores and are now serving in mission throughout the world.

Three sisters sent their greetings and their testimonies in honour of fifteen years of the Koinonia here, and the joint seminar between the Irish and English Koinonia at Crossgar in February 2017.

Here they are!

Sinead, our sister in Jerusalem shares the story of her journey on the occasion of Koinonia being in Ireland for 15 years. She is a consecrated sister living between Jerusalem and Tiberias, and serving in the Franciscan University there. We apologise for the audio. We are working on trying to improve this, so watch this space!

Maire is our prioress in the community living in the Parish of the Visitation, in Red Hook (Brooklyn), She is very active in music ministry there and, as you will hear, she does plug her new CD 🙂

Séverine gives thanks to her friends in England at the joint seminar between Koinonia in Great Britain and Koinonia Ireland. Severine entered consecrated life in Koinonia’s mother house, having spent many years at a House of Prayer. She is from Normandy in France, but we claim her vocation as our own 🙂 She now serves as the Secretary General of the worldwide Federation of Koinonia.
