Go home to your family, and tell them everything the Lord has done for you” Jesus, in Mark 15
The Testimony Course is a celebration of our stories and what Jesus has done, and continues to do, in our lives! No matter what journey you have taken, or where you are right now in your life, the Lord invites you to share his living presence in your life with others!
Stories like yours have transformed the world! The stories of those earliest Christians spoke to the heart of those who they met. When you lift the Bible, you are lifting a book of testimonies. Now, it is our turn to pick up the gauntlet and see the Kingdom here.
EVERYONE who has met Jesus has a testimony. But often we lack the confidence in sharing it, or we convince ourselves that ‘my story’ isn’t worth telling.
And this is the reason for the Testimony Course! It’s a journey that will lead us through
looking at the role of testimony, as well as its content and methods. We will give it a go in workshops and explore creative ways of communicating our story. But above all we
will pray and share together! It is a weekend where we will celebrate what the Lord has done – both in the huge things and in the nitty-gritty – and ask for the Holy Spirit to anoint our mission to the people in our family, town, county and nation!
The Kingdom of God is not built through sermons and conferences, but through the personal stories of those who have met Jesus and have seen their lives transformed by
this personal loving encounter! Share your story and be part of the building of Jesus’ kingdom in your parish, your Diocese and Ireland as well as in your own homes and families.
The course forms part of the basic level of formation recommended and encouraged for all members of Koinonia John the Baptist, but is open to anyone who wants to grow in confidence in sharing their faith story. We are a community within the Catholic Church committed to evangelisation through sharing our personal story of encounter with the Risen Jesus.
You will be blessed!
Your story is the key that can unlock someone else’s prison.
